The Data Competition for an Efficient Transportation Design Kickoff & Info Session is hosted by the Center for Regional and Rural Connected Communities (CR2C2) at North Carolina A&T State University and is supported by Honda.

This session will take place on Jan. 23, 2026, from 12–1p.m. in McNair Auditorium, Room 240, and will introduce students to the competition overview, timeline, team formation process, and participation requirements.

Open to current N.C. A&T undergraduate and graduate students from any major, the competition challenges participants to develop data-driven solutions to improve rural transportation systems while competing for cash prizes of $3,000 (1st place), $1,500 (2nd place), and $1,000 (3rd place), with first-place winners advancing to a regional competition against other universities in the Southeast.
