Transdisciplinary Experiential Learning in Food Animal Production Workshop
Students from all disciplines are invited to participate in the TEL Summer Workshop, an immersive, hands-on food animal production workshop. The TEL Summer Workshop gives undergraduate students, particularly those from 1890 Institutions, an immersive introduction to transdisciplinary problem-solving in food animal production. Students will explore how engineering, animal science, climate resilience, data science, and precision livestock farming (PLF) intersect in the design and management of sustainable, welfare-centered swine systems. Part of the Proactive Pig Production (P3) project, the program will provide participants with tools and experiences that foster collaboration, innovation, and real-world impact in animal agriculture.
