The Summer High School Transportation Institute (STI)
STI is a multi-week program on the A&T campus targeting high-performing high school juniors and seniors. The objective is to introduce students to the dynamic and diverse world of transportation and encourage them to continue their studies at the college level and beyond. Students are introduced to all aspects of the transportation field from research to planning to engineering. They’ll also take a variety of local and overnight field trips to transportation sites including a major port, cutting-edge transportation research facilities in Washington DC, and much more.
The Center for Advanced Transportation Mobility (CATM) Transportation Scholars Award is open to transportation/supply chain majors who are interested in participating in experiential learning and extra-curricular activities and events provided through the Transportation Institute. Award recipients will receive between $1,000 and $5,000 based on their GPA and engagement in transportation/supply chain activities.
Lecture series, site visits, and appropriate conferences and professional meetings are used to introduce undergraduate students to the transportation and supply chain profession.

Seminars and Workshops that are vital to the continued education and professional development of professionals in all areas of transportation/logistics/supply chain activities (public and private) are provided. The availability and delivery of these workforce development activities enhance the probability of increased economic investment by current and potential employers.
