The Career & Graduate School Expo is a SciTech Week staple offering an intimate opportunity to engage with companies and/or graduate schools about their current and/or future roles.  This year, one of our companies will bring innovation demos happening in their industry!  A list of companies and the majors they look for is forthcoming.  Attending this event is a perfect way to network and practice engaging with companies in an intimate setting.  Attire:  business casual.  No registration is required.

Department Day (Wednesday, March 25 at Various Times):
    1. The evolution of Product Management in the era of AI marks a shift from traditional feature delivery to the orchestration of intelligent, interconnected systems. As AI accelerates build cycles and automates analysis, PMs are no longer constrained by engineering capacity but by the strategic decisions of what should be created. Modern Product Managers must now think as system architects to designing workflows that sense, decide, and act across an organization. This requires new competencies in automation design, governance, model interpretation, and cross-system alignment. The unit of value has transformed from isolated features to end‑to‑end intelligent workflows that generate measurable outcomes. Ultimately, the PM’s role becomes one of orchestrating humans and machines to create scalable, enterprise-wide impact.
    1. In today’s data-driven organizations, technical skills alone are no longer enough. The real differentiator is the ability to tell a story with data. This session will explore how professionals in technology and analytics can transform insights into narratives that drive action, influence leaders, and elevate their visibility. Participants will learn practical techniques for communicating data effectively and why storytelling has become a critical career advantage, especially for emerging talent seeking to stand out in a highly technical field.

Community Engagement

Summer Camps

The Office of Student Success will host summer camps that will provide middle & high school students, as well as current CoST Aggies, an opportunity to engage in instruction and activities that will enhance their STEM knowledge and experience. The goal is to provide students with the necessary tools and resources that will aid in their overall academic success.

Community Service Projects

One main focus for the college is to expose our students to opportunities to develop into a well-rounded student. The college eagerly encourages every student to participate in community service projects that will enhance their STEM journey.

College Engagement

Dean's Distinguished Speaker Series

The COST Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series was created to share with students, faculty and researchers the academic and real-world insight of prominent scholars who have excelled in their given STEM fields. The Lecture Series aims to highlight North Carolina A&T’s bright students and research as well as establish connections outside the university.

Innovation Challenges

Innovation Challenges are done to inspire students to think outside the box to resolve real life issues in innovative ways. The college partners with different industry partners to allow students a platform to network with experts in the STEM world and to gain insight from professionals. Students work in teams to deliberate a design that will produce best results based on given prompts and a certain timeline to prepare to present. Prizes are won. Knowledge and experience is gained.

Lobby Days

Lobby Days for the College of Science & Technology will be held regularly to ensure students get direct access to industry leaders and learn of the experiential opportunities the STEM world has to offer. Students are encouraged to participate in these events and gain valuable experience by: Networking with industry professionals, Having(developing) a current professional resume, Gaining critical insight into STEM roles within companies and corporations relevant to their majors and personal goals.

Lunch & Learns

As a way to connect companies with our students, the college will host a series of Lunch-n-Learns where industry partners create an intimate environment and allow students to learn about the company and current opportunities. Company's sponsor lunch for all guest students to help create a great Aggie Pride experience.

Workshops & Seminars

The Office of Student Success, along with faculty throughout each department, will host different workshops and seminars that are geared towards academic and professional excellence. Each event will have well qualified leaders that can help groom this next generation of STEM leaders.

Annual SciTeck Week

The College of Science & Technology will host its annual SciTech Week. This is a time when middle, high school and college students inveteracy and celebrate all the STEM has to offer. Students will get an opportunity to connect with faculty & staff, student organization leaders, and industry professionals. This week long event will include:

  • Young Scientists & Technologists Day
  • Career & Graduate School Expo
  • Innovation Challenge
  • Explore IT Day (CST Department)
  • CoST Department Day
  • Alumni Panel Discussions
  • Research Fair

Student Forums

Each semester, the College of Science and Technology hosts student/faculty forums. The forums provide CoST student a platform and space to express their thoughts, questions, and concerns about the academic school year and their experiences with CoST-based courses and instructors/advisors. CoST faculty and staff are encouraged to participate so that the needs of the students can be addressed in a timely manner.
